Bethany United Church of Christ is blessed with a caring and responsive congregation. Members and friends are always ready and willing to jump in when anyone inside or outside our community of faith needs support.
We offer many ways for others to become involved with our church’s care giving programs. Through our Care & Support Team, members and friends can sign up to help others in a variety of ways, including providing meals, visitations, transportation, errand running, light housework and yard work, and funeral dinner preparation. We also have a formal Stephen Ministry program of trained volunteers who provide a one-to-one caring ministry to persons in need (e.g., in times of loneliness, becoming a new parent, illness or hospitalization, grief, or other crisis situations).
We also have a comprehensive program of care giving for our homebound members. Personal pastoral care is provided through pastoral counseling, hospital visits, and home visits. Members and friends are invited to call upon our pastor anytime whether the concern is health, home, marriage, children, career, family, or anything else. Our pastor would love to provide support and prayer for you.
