Bethany offers a two-year, comprehensive confirmation program for 7th & 8th graders. Topics covered include God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Ministry, Baptism, Spiritual Life, Death and Resurrection, Life in the Church, Stewardship, the Bible, Saints & Gifts, and Worship. Both Pastor Steve Gehlert and Pastor Kate Walsh lead confirmation classes. Classes meet twice a month and include dinner, music, and study.
Fellowship and service opportunities are offered monthly and each year the youth participate in a lock-in with the pastors that includes lots of fun, fellowship, and learning. Last year the confirmation class enjoyed sledding, canoeing, movies, Christmas Caroling, visiting the homebound, making gifts for shut-ins, a Christian music festival, and much more.
